Aviation Tour 2003
What?
The second year Providence
College/Harv's Air students
2003 California cross country

Why?
A chance of a life time! All of the Providence students are Private Pilots
who need to increase their flight time. A very long cross country (over
3000 miles or 10 times the required Commercial requirement) is a fantastic
way to experience different terrain, controllers, airports, high altitude
airports, and the decision making that can only come from being on your
own. Along the way they will fly by Mount Rushmore, the Grand Canyon,
some of the busiest airspace in the world, and undergo a transition of
seasons from winter, to spring, and back to winter in the span of a week.

Updates:
(Thursday: February 27, 0930 CST)
The group departed at 8am for Fargo, weather looks good all the way to
southern Kansas
(Friday: February 28: 0730 CST)
Anyway, we didn't quite make it to Amarillo last night because the weather
came in fairly quick but by the looks of it we are on the southern edge
of the system now. This afternoon it may look like that we can get a little
window to get out but that is to be seen yet. Tomorrow it looks
better. I'll keep you posted.
(Friday: February 28: 1900 CST)
Just updating our position which doesn't really need to be I guess.
Still in the same place and haven't moved an inch. We are right
at
the edge all day but here it has been 400 overcast all day and now it
is again down to 200 like this morning. About 60 miles from here
it was clear all day. So we have to wait and see what tomorrow will
be like. Till soon.
